HEY THERE, LOVE!

I'm Kathryn and I'm so happy to meet you! A little about me? I am the type to go a little farther if it means there's a drive-thru. I'm also likely to order a pastry with that iced coffee, thank you very much. My favorite places in nature are always by a cold creek with big mossy boulders. Add in some sun filtering through the trees and a good book? I'm in heaven. When it comes to photography, I'm all about warm light, genuine connections, and a good time. I'm going to get you moving, dancing, snuggling, and having fun....this is NOT your mother's stiff family photo experience at the Sear's portrait studio.

(No disrespect to your mother. She had exquisite taste for the time.)

Most importantly, perhaps, is that I'm a mom with a camera who fell head over heels in love with photographing the everyday moments with my family. I love documenting the tiny newborn feet, the giggles between siblings, the way a mama plays with her child's hair, the way a couple holds hands. I think these little glimpses into our relationships help tell a family's love story. Capturing my friends' and family's moments of transition and expansion into love has been one of the greatest joys in my photography journey.

What I want you to know is that I believe that your family deserves to have those moments preserved too. And around here we firmly believe that, more than anything else, love is what makes a family. Whatever that looks like to your and your loved ones (just you and your baby? extended family? best friends? your dog?) I'm here for the love, no questions asked...except, "How did you meet? Tell me your whole story because, wow, y'all are the greatest."
